Hump Week
This last week at BYU we had the last set of midterms, before we left for our Thanksgiving Break. It was a rough week to say the least. The lack of motivation mixed with the excitement of going home ended in a week full of pranks, naps, Megga beds, skipping class and mid night premires.
Silly Sunday-
A little background, a few weeks the "Provo Boys" pranked us by hiding in the back of my car and popping out of my trunk. We screamed and almost burst in to tears out of fear. Then we declared a PRANK WAR.
The 22's VS. Provo Boys.
So this sunday we finally found time to retaliate, we snuck into their room while they were went home for family dinner. And we emptied their closet and put their clothes on there MEGGA BED (two twin beds pushed together). Yes, they do sleep together ha.
After packing all of the clothes on top of the bed. We saran wrapped them to the mattresses. After we had finished we kindly put their sheets on and made their beds. We also tidied up their room before we left, since they had already failed their cleaning checks twice. Should also be added that we had to talk our way out of being written up by their RA. Some time it comes in handy to be cute girls :)
These were the my fellow 22's involved sitting on their MEGGA BED.
From right to left Anneliese (Sleeze), Jessica, (JT), Jessica (JR.), and myself!
Madness Monday-
Monday we hit the ground running trying to study for midterms and start the week out being productive. We went to classes and lunch then spent the rest of the afternoon in the testing center studying for the first texts/quizes of the week.
This is was are emotions as we sat in our corner studying away.
After we had tackled the testing center and FHE we headed to the library in hopes of being studious and maybe having a 12 min break! Anneliese and Alex (Provo Boy) came with me and kept me sane for the night!
Tired Tueday-
Tuesday was one of those days that seemed be seemless and almost perfect. Classes seemed to be interesting and fly by! After my first block of classes I went on a friend date to Cafe Rio for lunch. As usual it was delicious. It was great food and even better company!
I got home from lunch and was checking my email before class and to my DELIGHT!! There was a letter from Scott! (Scott is my best friend, who is currently serving an LDS mission in Orlando Florida speaking Haitian Creole). I was so excited that tears started streaming down my face before the message had even popped up on the screen. I was thrilled to hear from him! It was the first letter/email I have gotten since he left the MTC and made it to florida. Good news is he is loving the weather and the people!
Phrase of the week: Sak Passe Fi? - What up girl?
After lunch and my second round of classes I rushed home and changed. I drove to the Provo temple with Anneliese. We hurried their because our friend Marshall (Provo Boy) had already been there doing work. We got there and the line was overwhelming long! So many people trying to do baptisms. We were fortunate and got through quickly. But by far the best part of the day was the fact that Marsh was the one who baptized us. It was such a cool experience, he had such authority and power in his voice. I was so grateful to have a friend that was worthy and held the priesthood.
Post temple napping in Bailey High's Bed. We came home tried to do homework and ended up watching Harry Potter....Ten minutes later we were out! Sleeze is loving on my macbook. The perfect end to a terrific day.
Waiting Wednesday-
At BYU wednesday seem to be full of excitement and waiting. Especially after the recent changes in missionary availability age. Each wednesday more and more students seem to be anxiously awaiting their mission calls. This wednesday I had 2 friends get their calls!
Throwaway Thursday-
So this thursday we started off the weekend a bit too early. We created a Mega Bed. If you didn't know Mega Bed is when you take two extra large twin beds and make them into one. So of course we moved around baileys room to create the masterpiece called Mega Bed! Mega Bed is literally the greatest slash worst idea we have ever had! It is comfortable, functional and beautiful.
Mega-Bed makes us have zero motivation, so we did not go to classes. We stayed in bed and watch movies, ate candy and smashed liked champs!
We have a new obsession with Pop Tarts. We ate two boxes in one week. Wow we ca eat.
My attempt at taking my sociology quiz
Here is are evidence- I Feel like we should be more ashamed of this but whatever.
Fancy Friday-
This friday we went to "Asian Thanksgiving" dinner at my grandparents house. It was my family, plus some of the 22's. We helped cooked, set the table, and ate our weight in turkey. It was great food and even better company. It was great to be able to spend time with so many people I am so thankful for. We were lucky enough to have Sleeze as our photographer and here are some gems from the night!
Cee-Cee: smiling with her super cute new hair and her smile. I have actually missed her way more then I thought I would. Looking forward to hanging out with her next week!
Eating at the (college) kids table!
Me, Sleeze and Jess
Just casually eating cookies with my B.
Too close for comfort thanks to Jess
Enjoying the amazing kneaders cookies
Miss Ann (My mom), sister and I. So happy to be able to do dinner with Miss Ann before she leaves next week!
Jess and B being a dynamic duo during dessert! These two are hilarious when they get together the literally feed off each others sassy attitudes.
